Ecclesiastes 3:1–8, “A Time for Everything,” is a cherished Bible passage quoted at many memorial services. Our lives contain a mixture of joy, sorrow, pleasure, pain, harmony, struggle, life, and death. Each season in the cycle of life has its appropriate time. We, as G-d’s children, realize that nothing stays the same, so we must learn to accept and adjust to the ebb and flow of G-d’s design for our lives. Some seasons we go through are difficult, and we may not understand what G-d is doing. In those times, we must humbly submit to the L-rd’s plans and trust that He is working out His good purposes.
