Music in Israeli Culture and the “Kamti” Approach
The roots of music can be traced to creation when the “morning stars sang” the most touching comment came from a Holocaust survivor following a 2013 (Job 38:7). Since then, music has become an integral part of every people and culture. One of the wonders of the Tenach is how it was preserved by word of mouth before it was ever written down. Based on our understanding of cantillation points, we understand that the holy scriptures were sung, and sealed into the memory of a nation, ensuring accurate transmission of the words of G-d.
